All applications are encouraged. A New Leash On Life Dog Rescue promotes adoptions that are in the best interest of both the dog and the potential adopter. We do not adopt dogs solely on a first-come, first- served basis. All applicants will be screened by A New Leash On Life Dog Rescue volunteer to determine the most suitable match for both the dog and potential adopter.

Owning a dog is a serious financial responsibility. Are you prepared financially to spend a MINIMUM of $300 per year for veterinary care, (including routine vaccintations, heartworm preventative medication and flea/tick preventative medicaiton), food and expenses?

A well-cared for dog may live in excess of 12 years. Does your lifestyle, career and family plans allow you to make this commitment?

Some vets require an owner's permission to disclose vet history. If this is the case with your vet, please contact them and authorize them to disclose your pet(s)' information to A New Leash on Life Dog Rescue volunteers.
